[C-Blog] Is WebinarJam a Scam?

Is WebinarJam a Scam? I do not think so yet. But is it worth the hype and reviews? I am not very sure. I tested the trial, but based on their support and terms of conditions, I cancelled as soon as possible.

I could not find an option to change plan. Cancellation is also not straight forward. I contacted support few times and there were no response. When you pay for one whole year (they do not have monthly plan) you need to be extra sure. What if they take this money and do not provide service.

Cancellation and billing policy available at home.webinarjam.com/billingpolicy also made me think again. Few important points that striked me:

  • A request to cancel a Genesis Digital application must be initiated at least 10 days prior to the next invoice date. Trial is for 14 days and your next invoice date is only 14 days away. So how many days will you actually get to try? When do you need to cancel?

  • ...past due account that may be turned over to a third-party collection service. They say they collect payments upfront, so what is this amount that will be turned over to a third-party collection service?

  • Cancellation of an account does not dismiss outstanding invoices or nullify previously agreed charges. Did not understand.

  • All canceled accounts with an outstanding balance may be turned over to a third-party collection service. They say they collect payments upfront, so what is this amount that will be turned over to a third-party collection service?

  • Each Genesis Digital customer agrees to provide Genesis Digital 30 days to attempt settlement of any billing dispute before disputing with any third-party credit/debit card company or bank. Will credit card companies allow dispute after 30 days?

  • Should Genesis Digital receive a chargeback from a third-party credit/debit card company or bank on the customer's behalf before Genesis Digital has been given a chance to resolve the issue, Genesis Digital has the right to charge the customer for its time spent in resolving such disputes and any associated fees incurred by Genesis Digital, in addition to the $50 chargeback fee mentioned above. Did not understand and did not want all these head ache.
