Airtel Itself Is Confused With Airtel Postpaid Promises

Airtel has recently launched few offers which they claim as Airtel Postpaid Promise. Interestingly, Airtel customer care itself is not sure about the promises. For example, consider the below two promises.

 

Airtel Data Carry forward

The ad says that it will carry forward with a cap of 200GB. However there was no clarity on whether it will carry forward to immediate next month, or keep on getting added until it reaches 200GB. Many representatives have replied back in mail that it gets carry forwarded only to immediate next month and will lapse if not used. However some has also said it will carry forward until it reaches 200GB limit.

 

Airtel Family Plan

There are multiple family plans and many representatives are confused about its features. While some representatives says everyone in the family has to take name in one person's name and adhar, others say it can be in their own name. This too, is through mails, so we have got proof.

 

Ultimately people are getting confused. If Airtel itself if confused, how will people not be. Moreover their systems are not fully capable to adapt these changes. Recently I changed my plan and airtel app was showing old and new data as previous data. When I use data, it is getting reduced from previous data and not new data. But Airtel customer care said that the app will not work correctly until my next bill generation (which is about a month after) and hence I will need to calculate my usage manually. 

It would be good if at least Airtel representatives are told about the offer in detail before confusing the users. We will also try to experiment with the plans and share our experience to help our users.
