Vodafone continues to be one of the worst in terms of customer care for prepaid customers in Bangalore

This is specific to existing prepaid customers in Bangalore. Ratio of vodafone customer cares compared to Airtel is definitely less. Vodafone also gives lesser offers for existing customers compared to new. But worst part is getting to talk to their customer care over phone. Considering the lesser number of customer centeres, they should at least have a decent call center, even if it is paid calls. Even after sending a PORT request, they don't care to call or even keep their promises. The automated message says you will get a call with offers and blah blah blah. But do not get a call in most scenarios.
